Description
Levofloxacin is a third-generation fluoroquinolone antibiotic. It is twice as active as its isomer ofloxacin and is effective against a number of Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms, specifically those that cause atypical pneumonia. Levofloxacin is one of the so-called respiratory quinolones and is to be considered a drug of last resort when all other antibiotics have failed.

- Skin infections
- Urinary tract infections
- Acute pyelonephritis
- For pigs: effective in many bacterial diseases such as enteritis, yellow and white dysentery, etc.
